The Philanthropy New Zealand Board is pleased to announce that nominations for SIX positions for Board Members have opened. There are five sitting board members who are eligible for re-election and who have indicated their availability for a new term.
PNZ grantmaker members are invited to nominate themselves or another PNZ grantmaker member to fill this vacancy. Members are elected for 3 year intervals, with re-election available up to a total of 9 years, unless they hold office, then they are eligible to stand for 12 years.
The Board is seeking greater diversity in its membership so that it better reflects the New Zealand philanthropic sector as a whole. In particular key identified gaps are people directly involved in their own philanthropic activity, who also possess a strong financial background.
The Board is responsible for the fiscal health of the organisation and provides leadership and strategic direction. The PNZ Board meets quarterly in person and as required, via conference call.
The nomination period will be open from 25th October 2016 – 22nd November 2016 at 17:00 pm.
An opportunity to address the members will be provided at the AGM (for up to 2 minutes).
The result will be announced following the counting of votes cast at the AGM.
