CE fortnightly message August 22

With so much change happening in the sector it was a privilege to be part of the Philanthropy Australia Conference 2024.

Three fantastic days of learning from others, sharing ideas and deepening our understanding of what effective philanthropy needs to be. Thank you and a shout out to the NZ contingent that attended with me. I also had the pleasure of spending some time in Sydney afterwards meeting more in the sector. So many insights and amazing connections made and I am about to post a longer blog post about his shortly - keep an eye out on our socials

Speaking of conferences, I’m excited to remind you to mark your calendars for our own conference in May/June 2025. Stay tuned for more details as we’re locking in venue and final dates.

In the meantime we are set to release our next edition of Philanthropy News in October. Our focus for this edition will be on “Impact” (think ‘what is it’ ‘how might we measure it’ ‘how do we talk about it’ etc).  Over the time I’ve been CE, this topic has come up in conversation time and time again. This issue will provide thought-provoking articles showcasing the experiences of individuals and organisations actively engaged in this topic. If you're keen to contribute, please get in touch with mei@philanthropy.org.nz.
