PNZ Submission: Taxation and the Not-for-Profit Sector

Philanthropy New Zealand (PNZ) recently made a submission on Inland Revenue’s review of taxation for the not-for-profit sector.  We raised a number of issues about the process for reform, the lack of a problem definition, and the options that were raised in the issues paper.  The charity and philanthropic sectors are essential for New Zealand’s economic, social and environmental future.  A well-designed tax system is critical in enabling this.  Read the full submission here.
