Pasifika Funders’ Network

Philanthropy New Zealand | Tōpūtanga Tuku Aroha o Aotearoa work closely with the Pasifika Funders’ Network (PFN).

The PFN are a team of aiga/fāmili/whānau who have taken time to support and empower each other through Indigenous systems and knowledge base. The network has an accumulated wealth of philanthropic knowledge which spans well over 40 years of working in the sector.

The PFN are deeply connected to their communities and families through kinship and history. They are ethnically diverse, with a depth of Pacific heritage, ancestor’s knowledge of practice, language and value systems that continue to benefit Pacific people today.

A message from the Pasifika Funders’ Network:

Kia orana anau! We welcome you to read our position statements and tautoko to our Māori whanaunga here in Aotearoa. Any injustice against indigenous peoples here in Aotearoa is an injustice against all indigenous peoples, including those of us from the Pacific. This document outlines the positions that the members of the Pasifika Funders Network named in the document wish to express publicly regarding tangata whenua, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, co-governance, and Te Reo Māori. Toitū Te Tiriti!
